Our Story

A Nashville Legacy Since 1993

Queen of Hearts Tattoo began in 1991 in Radcliff, Kentucky, founded by artist Angel Moon. By 1993, the studio expanded to Nashville — and the city never let go. After more than 30 years of tattooing and 23 years of studio ownership, Angel passed the torch to her daughter Crystal, who continues to honor the studio's old-school roots while elevating it for the next generation. Dixie, Crystal's sister, stands beside her as lead piercer.

Through a car crashing into the building in 2006, an electrical fire in 2007, and the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Queen of Hearts has never closed its doors on Nashville. That's not stubbornness — that's legacy.

i have gotten my nostril, septum, belly button, and eyebrow piercing here with Jasmine. she is the best! she is so kind and chill i felt so comfortable getting all of my piercings. i would not go anywhere else except here! i have had no issues with any of my piercings. i love this place!

Maggie was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly accommodating and even completed two sessions for me and my friend in a single day, powering through like a total champ. We couldn't be happier with how our tattoos turned out and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented artist! She took the time to make sure we were completely happy with the sizing before, and her attention to detail with coloring and shading was wonderful. On top of that, she has a light hand and it made sitting through the session a breeze! We truly can't thank Maggie enough and everyone at the shop for being so friendly and making a wonderful experience!

I love getting tattoos and piercings at Queen of Hearts! Their artists and staff are awesome! Katie and Maggie are my go-to artists for tattoos and are always willing to go above and beyond to ensure I have a great experience each time. I recommend a consult if you want a custom piece and giving them the freedom to take your idea and turn it into reality. Just be aware that Maggie loves traditional tattoos and will attempt to persuade (lightly bully) you into getting a traditional piece. I suggest you let her, as her traditional tattoos are awesome! If you want fine line or black and grey, Katie is the artist for you. She did my first tattoo and made it a great experience. Katie has taken many of my tattoo ideas and made them into reality for me. Jasmine has done my piercings, and she is very personable and helpful, from choosing jewelry to ensuring my piercings were placed correctly. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing go to Queen of Hearts!
